Rebrote: rock that is reborn
Rebrote is born from a simple yet powerful idea: starting over. To rebloom is to rise again, to move forward slowly, to let the ground rest and then return to the path, meeting along the way the people with whom the journey truly matters. In music, all of this takes on a deeper meaning.
Out of the need to keep creating —from the inner world to the outside— Rebrote emerges: songs meant to take shape as a record, as a live show, as a lasting memory. Music made to be shared, as it will be on June 12th at Sala Apolo 2 in Barcelona, where the project will come alive on stage.
The band is formed by Iñaki “Uoho” Antón (Extremoduro, Platero y Tú, Inconscientes…), Jaime Moreno (The Electric Alley), Jose Ignacio Cantera and Miguel Colino (both from Extremoduro), Jaime Tejedor (Indomables) and Iñigo “El Profe” López (Quaoar). Together they have just recorded their self-titled debut album, produced by Uoho himself at his studio.
The result is a kind of rock that resists easy classification, but coming from where these musicians come from, it’s easy to imagine the weight and depth of the outcome. Labels have never been very useful when it comes to enjoyment, especially when what you’re listening to feels fresh and alive.
The album and the tour ahead will prove this in the best possible way: on stage, shared with an audience. As Kutxi Romero says about Rebrote:
“Rebrote is the rock & roll where death dies and life asks for fire, burning itself to ashes so that later, among the embers, we may search for that love. There lie the indelible traces; let us listen then. Let the sprout return. Let it become rebrote.”
