More than four decades of addictive sound, immune to passing trends and faithful only to their own universe. The Meteors – often hailed as the European Cramps – have been leading the psychobilly movement in Europe since the early 1980s.
Blending punk, rockabilly and lyrics inspired by sci-fi and horror B-movies, The Meteors forged a unique style that has influenced generations. With over fifty albums released, they have masterfully combined rockabilly, country, surf and rock’n’roll into their unmistakable sound.
Imagine the raw punk energy of The Ramones colliding with the rebellious spirit of Gene Vincent’s rock’n’roll—that’s The Meteors. Since their first LP in 1981, they have stayed true to their origins: a tattooed, pirate-looking trio devoted to the dark side of rock, singing about Satan, tombs, howling wolves, vampires and guitar lines that nod to Hank Marvin of The Shadows.
The Meteors’ engine keeps roaring at full speed, with every track sounding like an unstoppable anthem. On this tour, Paul Fenech and his crew will once again prove why they are – and will always remain – the undisputed godfathers of psychobilly.
